About Me
Hi, My name is Monica and I have been a Registered Midwife for over 20 years and have extensive experience in all areas of maternity care.
Having a baby is one of the most momentous times in a woman's life. This experience affects her physically, emotionally and spiritually, and as such I believe it is important to have as much support as possible.
My passion for midiwfery started with the cesarean birth of my first baby, when I realised the support from health professionals was less than ideal. With my second baby I chose to have care with a midwife; this support helped me to not only achieve a vaginal birth but most importantly made an incredible difference to how I experienced the journey.
In fact the name of this business is a mash of my name with my daughter's.
The goal of my midiwfery practice is to work with women, no matter where they come from, where they birth, or what their pregnancy and postnatal journey looks like.
I am an "Endorsed Midiwfe" with APHRA which means the cost of my services have an applicable rebate available through medicare*
You may also be able to claim some services via private health funds**
I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, with many years of practical experience supporting women to breastfeed.
Working in the ACT and NSW, means I have contact with many health professionals, allied health, as well as other providers, which I can refer you to. Positive collaboration increases your satisfaction.
